(Stay With Me)
See I, grew up in a crazy ghetto, with hooligans and some goons.
I use to have a big homie, watched em as he blew smoke to the moon.
I tried to be cool but I was, preparing to be in a tomb.
I lived in a place, with pain and mistakes, and now I'm covered in wounds.
But I was hanging with the OG's so I was hood, right?
Trying to mob gangster’s and slang, like I was living the hood life.
With flashy cars, thought it was the good life.
Only to find out, having everything, brings jealousy,
and enemies will wish you a good night!
And after the casket closes, do you really know where you go?
Go to Heaven or hell, reincarnate, or do you just decompose?
I'm not even sure myself, all I can say is this.
I was once trapped in the world, full or rebellion and covered in sin.
And before I knew what that was, it was killing me from within.
But God saved me, out of His mercy, and He pulled me to Him.
And now that I'm back home, I never will leave again.
Loving my God, as He proclaims in Heaven let the celebration begin!
(Stay With Me)
See the, word of the living God says, that everybody is wicked.
No matter how good you try to be, it's probably for your own selfishness.
Compare yourself to a rapist, so you look like an angel.
But compared to Jesus, you’re probably a demon dressed in a saint’s robe.
So the sacrifice of the lamb was a death that was obligated.
And through His death, our debt with the Father was eliminated.
Yes, He died and He paid it, resurrected and that means
We are redeemed looked at as clean, and became part of His family.
(Stay with me)
But don't let me lose you.
There most certainly is consequences for sin, don't let me confuse you.
We're left with permanent scars, not sure if they ever will heal.
But you will begin to see His glory, when you live in His will.
And all the pain inside, will never amount to God.
He is the creator, there's no problem greater, there's nothing that He can't solve
So how could I love the world, when my Christ is better?
Deserving eternal punishment, instead receiving life forever.
